STANDARD PROFI
STANDARD PROFI
  - Common adhesive for the interior and the exterior, used for fitting ceramic plates.
STANDARD PROFI

Caracteristics

Mineral adhesive mortar based on quartz sand, silica sand, Portland cement, fine aggregates and water-soluble additives. It is used for fitting ceramic plates, such as tiles or glaze, on the inside and the outside, on concrete or screed base layers (minimum M50) or cement coating, having a water absorption degree of 3% - 6%. Surfaces on which STANDARD PROFI is applied should be made out of concrete, should be flat and smooth, clean and dry, dust and crack free. The adhesive is prepared by mixing a 25 kg powder sack with 6.2 l (250 ml/kg) of clean and cold water. After mixing, the paste is left to rest for about 10 minutes, then it is mixed again for about 1 - 2 minutes. After that, the obtained paste is ready for use. After checking the base layer and preparing the paste, the adhesive obtained is applied with the help of a rectangular indented spatula which creates a grooved and uniform surface. The thickness of the layer is determined by the angle of the jointer when applying the product. The applied layer should be between 5 mm and 7 mm thick. The plates applied on the adhesive paste are slightly pressed with the hand and they are lightly hammered with a rubber hammer to eliminate blow holes. Spacers are used for straightening the joints. While fixing the plates on the spread paste, the maximum intervals for carrying out the operations will be rigorously observed. If application takes longer than the mentioned intervals, adherence will be lost. Consumption: between 4 kg/m² and 7 kg/m² depending on the size of the plates.
