OSMOCEM
  - Thin waterproofing mortar with osmotic permeation and increased resistance to mechanical stresses, based on cement, quartz and resins.
OSMOCEM

Caracteristics

Waterproofing mortar based on Portland cement, siliceous sand, selected inert materials and specific water-soluble additives. The product is created for waterproofing of inner concrete, screed floors or inner coatings on which ceramic or PVC coverings are subsequently fitted (for example: bathrooms, kitchens) and areas where there is no hydrostatic pressure. Surfaces on which OSMOCEM is applied should be made out of concrete, should be flat and smooth, clean and dry, dust and crack free (cracks that become larger or exceed 0.5 mm). The product is prepared by mixing a 25 kg powder sack with 6 l (240 ml/kg) of clean and cold water. After mixing, the paste is left to rest for about 10 minutes and it is mixed again for 1-2 minutes; afterwards it can be used provided that the moments of using the product are observed. After being prepared, the product is applied in two layers, each being 1 - 2 mm thick; the second layer shall be applied after the first one dried (approx. 12 hours after its application). Application is done with the hawk, one layer being applied longitudinally, the other- transversally. Large and flat surfaces will be reinforced with glass fibre net with a specific weight of approx. 150 g/m². The total time needed for applying the mortar, inserting the net and finishing it (by filling) shall under no circumstances exceed 10 minutes. The final layer obtained should have enough thickness so that the glass fibre net can be completely incorporated into the layer. Attention shall be paid so that the filling process should result in a smooth, levelled and flat surface. Attention shall be paid so that the filling process should result in a smooth, levelled and flat surface. At the joint between the floor and masonry, the related product ElastoBAND F shall be used. Along the whole length of the joint between the wall and the floor, a thin layer of OsmoCEM is applied, on top of which ElastoBAND F is attached. After being fixed into position, ElastoBAND F shall be covered with OsmoCEM. ElastoBAND CI or ElastoBAND CE shall be used at the interior or exterior corners. ElastoBAND T shall be used for piping passages. Average consumption: 1.3 kg/m²/mm

ELASTOCEM
ELASTOCEM
  - Bicomponent waterproofing mortar, for protecting brick structures, ceramic/autoclave-cured cellular concrete blocks, concrete, reinforced concrete/prestressed reinforced concrete structures
ELASTOCEM

Caracteristics

ElastoCEM is a bicomponent product (A and B). Component A is a powder mixture made up of cement, selected inert materials and specific water-soluble additives. It is used for the following: waterproofing of inner concrete floor made of concrete, prestressed concrete, screed, of brick structures, of ceramic/ autoclave-cured cellular concrete blocks on which ceramic plates or PVC coverings are mounted; waterproofing of the interior part of pools or water tanks; waterproofing of terraces, balconies, pools before cladding them with slates, glaze, mosaic or natural stones; filling-based protection against aggressive atmospheric agents of elastic structures made of reinforced concrete, which are exposed to crazing risk caused by loads; filling-based protection against aggressive atmospheric agents, of plasters and concrete types which have hardening contraction cracks. In order to obtain the paste, component A is mixed with component B as follows: Component B (liquid) is poured into a container; component A is slowly added while mechanically stirring. No water, cement, aggregates nor other compounds should be added so as not to modify the technical characteristics of the product. Mixing is carried out only with a rotating mechanical device. Mixing is carried out for about 4 minutes, until the paste is completely homogeneous. After being mixed, ELASTOCEM can be used for about 60 minutes. Surfaces on which ELASTOCEM is applied should be made out of concrete or screed, should be flat and smooth, clean, dust and crack free, resistant, compact, dry, crack and brittle parts free (cracks which become larger and which are bigger than 0.5 mm). Elastocem can be manually or mechanically applied. ELASTOCEM can be used within maximum 60 minutes from its preparation. With the help of a grouter a complete levelling of the surface shall be carried out on the prepared surface. The first layer is applied 24 hours after this operation. The second layer is applied 72 hours after the first layer has been applied, so that a thickness of about 2 mm/layer is obtained. For waterproofing terraces, balconies, bathtubs and pools, it is always recommended to also use a glass fibre net frame with a specific weight of 150 g/m2. The first layer is applied with the hawk. The glass fibre net is applied by pressing it with the hand or hawk so that it permeates up to approx. 50% of the total thickness of the layer. The net will be overlapping at least 10 cm at the joints between the straps. After the net is applied, the layer thus obtained is finished with the hawk to also incorporate the net; therefore, a flat and smooth surface shall result (the glass fibre net being incorporated in its middle area). The total time needed for applying the mortar, inserting the net and finishing it (by filling) shall under no circumstances exceed 10 minutes. The final layer obtained should have enough thickness so that the glass fibre net can be completely incorporated into the layer. After fitting the net, the surface is finished with a hawk, by applying a second layer of Elastocem 72 hours after the first layer. Specific consumption upon manual application: approx. 1.7 kg/m²/mm of thickness. Specific consumption upon machine-based application: approx. 2.2 kg/m²/mm of thickness.

The paste is obtained by mixing one 20 kg sack with 3.2-3.6 l of clean and fresh water. Mixing is carried out for about 4 minutes only with a rotating mechanical device. It is recommended that the mixing procedure be carried out without creating too much air bubbles in the paste. After mixing, ELASTOCEM 1K can be used for about 60 minutes. The product can be applied manually or with the gunite. The surfaces on which ELASTOCEM 1 K is applied should be made from concrete, reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete, cement screed or coatings, they should be flat and smooth, clean, dust free, with no cracks that become larger, resistant and compact. ELASTOCEM 1 K is applied as follows: a levelling of the surface is carried out with a grouter, then, the first layer is applied, with a maximum thickness of 2 mm. For large surfaces and surfaces which undergo high mechanical stresses, the layer is reinforced with a glass fibre net with a density of 145 -165 gr/m2. At the joint between the reinforcing nets, the nets will overlap for at least 10 cm. It is extremely important that the layer of product applied should not be more than 2 mm thick, otherwise, cracks may occur. If necessary, the second layer is applied taking into account the weather conditions, 5-8 hours after applying the first layer, so that a maximum thickness of 2 mm/layer is obtained. For the surfaces having high absorption features, the base layer shall be watered and be left to dry before applying the ELASTOCEM 1K product. It is forbidden to apply this product on a layer of water. Specific consumption upon manual application: approx. 1.7 kg/m/mm of thickness. Specific consumption upon machine-based application: approx. 2.2 kg/m²/mm of thickness.
